A helicopter pilot was flying across the U.S when he started experiencing problems. All his instrumentation and navigation equipment was blown, he was low on fuel and to cap it all a heavy fog descended. All he knew was that he must find a safe place to land.
By chance he came across an office block, so he hastily scribbled down the message 'Where am I?' on a piece of card and held it to the window while slowly circling the building.
A group of people spotted this and after a brief debate held up a card to the office window which read 'You are in a Helicopter'.
Upon receiving this information the pilot worked out where he was and landed at the local Seattle airport to the relief of the traffic control staff.
One of the emergency services personnel who met him when he landed wanted to know how he knew where he was.
The pilot recalled the problems and added 'Oh I knew I couldn't be anywhere else but the Microsoft Campus at Seattle' he replied 'Because you see, like all their on-line help, documentation, and support replies, the answer they gave me was TECHNICALLY correct, but of absolutely no use whatsoever.'
