Simon Cowley's new Austin 10

Dear Thumper

Just a brief note to let you know I have changed my car. I decided to part company with the Ford Y type due to the fact that we rarely agreed on the direction of travel. Ford Model Y's have notoriuosly vague steering and mine was no exception. It seemed determined to visit the hedgerow at each and every grain of sand in the road, bends in the road were not to be considered unless you were suffering a severe bout of depression with suicidal tendancies.

I sold the car a few weeks ago and it is now terrorising the inhabitants of Belgium since the new owner lives there (at least he did when he bought it - the car may well have severely shortened his life expectancy)

I have now bought a 1937 Austin 10/4 and so far it appears a much more pleasantly mannered beast. Hopefully it will allow me to attend some events - the Ford was incredibly unsociable in that respect.

Regards

Simon Cowley
