Friends of Great Linford Scouts Active Support

The Friends of Great Linford Scouts Active Support members are responsible for there own composition, organisation, programme, and administration in accordance with a remit agreed annually with the Group Scout Leader. Ultimate responsibility for the Scout Group Active Support members rests with the Group Scout Leader

The aim of Scout Active Support is to "Provides Support" to Scouting, with the emphasis for Friends of Great Linford Scouts being very much within the Group, and includes occasionally assisting the section leaders with the running of programmed evenings, attending camps and organised activities, and supporting the Group Executive Committee with fundraising.

There is a social side to the Friends of Great Linford Scouts with meetings and activities decided by its members.

Friends of Great Linford Scouts has an administrator elected by the GSL who represents the members at all Group Exec meetings

Friends of Great Linford Scouts Active Support Members are in no way tied to only supporting our Scout Group. Members may wish to attend District, County, and National or even International activities, however, the group Active Support as a whole give priority to the Great Linford Scout Group activities.
